About Kate

I’ve always been drawn to movement. With a background in dance and years of Pilates training, my approach focuses on strength, posture and controlled, purposeful movement. I teach in a calm, supportive way, helping people move better and feel more confident in their bodies.

I’ve always loved movement. I started dancing at a young age and quickly realised I learn best through moving, not sitting still. That interest naturally grew into a career centred around how the body moves, functions and feels.

I discovered Pilates while looking for a way to continue learning after completing my degree in Dance Studies. From my very first class, I knew it was something I wanted to pursue seriously. Pilates brought together strength, control and awareness in a way that made sense to both my body and my background in dance.

I’m a fully qualified Pilates instructor, trained with Body Control Pilates in London, and I continue to develop my skills through ongoing training. My experience includes mat work, reformer Pilates, high-intensity Pilates and specialist work supporting people with low back pain. I’m also a supervising teacher for Pilates student instructors.

My teaching style is calm, structured and supportive. I plan sessions carefully and adapt exercises to suit different bodies and abilities, focusing on good technique, posture and controlled movement rather than rushing through exercises.

Alongside studio classes, I also teach live online Pilates and have built a strong Zoom community for those who prefer to practise from home.

I also teach Stretch, Tone & Hone — a class that blends classical ballet technique, contemporary movement and Pilates stretching. It’s designed to build strength and flexibility while improving coordination and movement confidence.

Above all, my aim is simple: to help people move better, feel stronger and develop a greater understanding of their own bodies.
